There you are, sitting high on the back of a massive, placid elephant, with the world and wildlife at you feet! It’s an extraordinary way to view nature, for the surrounding wildlife is entirely unafraid, contrary to their reaction to the normal human presence. After a short safety briefing and introduction, you’ll be introduced to the elephants and their handlers. Each elephant carries a single handler and no more than two guests. You set off on these gentle creatures through the bush, crossing a shallow river to arrive on a small island. Here, you dismount, and are encouraged to interact with the elephants, while the knowledgeable guides share their knowledge with you. It’s an extraordinary experience communicating, if you like, with the elephants, being so up close to one. Savour every moment
